Laughing Through the Dark Times

Everyone always tells me to keep a positive attitude and give that positive energy to the universe and the universe will pay it back. Same idea with Karma, if you’re a dick, eventually it’ll catchup and hurt you negatively. Are these concepts real or are they all bullshit?

Personally I feel that they are all total bullshit and just what people say when they are being absolutely demolished by life.

But hey, we’ve all been there. We’ve all been crushed by a girl, a friend, a job, and have all said “karmas a bitch”. The belief that the universe is going to go and be cruel to someone that was cruel back to you is such an absurd concept. If the universe actually has karmic energy, why would it waste it to take revenge for you? Why would it let that negative thing happen to you in the first place? It just doesn’t make sense.

See, I like to call my self an optimistic realist. I truly hope for the best to happen in every outcome, but I know how fucked my life is and how unlucky I am in most situations and I realize that its not going to work the way I want it too. So why doesn’t the universe work out for me if I believe in the positivity of the outcome? Why do I just keep taking those beatings; feeling like Apollo Creed in Rocky 4 with Drago saying “If he dies, he dies!”

There has to be an end to the karmic fuckery that plagues me daily.

But hey, that is life. You get up and try it again and again. Shooters shoot right?

Like the late great Kobe Bryant said ” ‘I would go 0-for-30 before I would go 0-for-9. 0-for-9 means you quit on yourself”.

So, lets hit the courts of life and put up those shots! Seize the day! Carpe Diem! Lets make the Universe our bitch and give a giant middle finger to the idea of Karma !
